Ansbach Elementary School PTSA: A Beacon of Support and Community

The Ansbach Elementary School Parent Teacher Student Association (PTSA) continues to go above and beyond in supporting students, teachers and families. Through dedication and creativity, the group has built a vibrant, inclusive school community where every event leaves a lasting impact.
From bingo nights and dress-up days to school dances and skate nights, the PTSA brings energy and joy to the school year. The group provides teacher grants, organizes engaging fundraisers such as Coin Wars and Popcorn Days, and maintains a strong, visible presence throughout the school.
One of its standout accomplishments was reviving the school book fair — an event that hadn’t taken place in years. It's overwhelming success led to a new tradition: the PTSA will now host the book fair twice a year, giving students regular access to exciting new reading materials.
Teacher Appreciation Week showcased the PTSA’s thoughtfulness and organizational excellence. Incoming PTSA President Victoria Viola led the event, while outgoing President Cameron Bryant expressed confidence in the transition.
“Knowing she could do this so successfully let me know y’all are in great hands next year,” Bryant said. “We gave her the tools and the budget, agreed on themes for the week, and she took off. We’re so happy the teachers felt the love. This year has been amazing with all the volunteers and support — it truly has been a wonderful year.”
Each day of the week featured a themed surprise for teachers:
- Monday: Breakfast bar
- Tuesday: Trail mix and goodie bags
- Wednesday: Popcorn bar
- Thursday: Taco bar
- Friday: Fresh flowers and beautifully arranged fruit and vegetable trays

In addition to PTSA gifts, students contributed by bringing flowers, handwritten notes and small tokens of appreciation.
“I appreciated their thoughtfulness and attention to detail in making Teacher Appreciation such a special occasion for us,” said teacher Kardawn Abdullah.
Dalila Gordon, the school librarian, shared a particularly touching moment.
“A parent and PTSA member overheard me talking about missing out on buying my favorite snack during a commissary sale. She brought me a box! It was so thoughtful and truly reflective of how our PTSA operates,” Gordon said. “A heartfelt note I received from a student was my favorite gift that week. Notes like those remind me that I’m making a difference.”
The PTSA’s efforts have created a supportive, thriving environment at Ansbach Elementary. Their initiatives enrich the academic experience while providing essential emotional and social support. Their work stands as a testament to the power of community and the impact of dedicated volunteers.
As the school year concludes, the PTSA looks ahead with renewed energy and leadership. With Viola at the helm and a strong team of volunteers, the future is bright. Their commitment to making every event meaningful ensures that Ansbach Elementary remains a place where students flourish — academically, socially and emotionally.
